By July 2009, all hospitals must print patient data directly onto wristbands
according to National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA) guidance aiming to reduce
medical errors.
In this video, Wrightington, Wigan & Leigh NHS Foundation Trust discuss how
self-laminating wristbands from LaserBand enabled them to become fully
compliant by protecting patient data from physical damage for the entire
stay.
The LaserBand wristbands are also resistant to infection growth due to their
adhesive closure and were a cost-effective option for the trust as they
leveraged existing printers.
